New Nordic Voices

ACT / New Nordic Voices is a transnational theatre company in Denmark.

The organization was founded by Michael Omoke through 26th June 2014 – 29th March 2015 in collaboration with 30 artists (derived from 21 different nationalities) who formed the entities first founding members.

ACT's vision is to have multiple cultures share a stage. Conversely, it's artistic policy is to connect thespians globally and act as an inter-cultural creative integrator.

The project New Nordic Voices presents the visibility of Nordic minorities through exploring selected theatre works of iconic Nordic playwrights and juxtaposing them with Global icons from Afro-American, African and Caribbean traditions.

The original intent behind the creation of ACT is to aesthetically embrace & reflect cultural diversification.

The general assignment that ACT will carry out in order to fulfill her purpose is by creating master piece productions through local, regional and cross-continental collaborations.
